🗞️ CUPE 5575 Bargaining Update

| July 2025
We’re in the thick of it — and we’re not backing down.

Hey CUPE 5575 Members,

We’re back with your latest bargaining table update — and let’s say, today’s meeting brought both fire and focus.

We dove into our proposal discussions and kept things moving — one step closer to the goal. And guess what? We had some strong reinforcements at the table:

👋 Nadia, our amazing Vice President, joined the bargaining team for the first time, bringing a fresh perspective, a steady voice, and strong support.

👋 We also had the pleasure of welcoming Nancy, one of CUPE’s National Representatives, who joined us alongside John — our lead National Representative, who’s been with us from day one,

holding it down and guiding the process like a true pro.

With these extra voices and experience on our side, we made solid progress.

🔍 Where We’re At

We tackled several key issues today that have been weighing heavily. While we haven’t cracked every nut yet, we’re still working through these topics on our end — carefully and strategically — and we’ll be responding to the employer in our next bargaining session.

That meeting will also include a BIG milestone:
📌 We’ll be presenting our monetary proposal to the employer — an important step in pushing for what our members truly deserve.

📅 The next meeting date is still being finalized, but as always, we’ll keep you in the loop.

💬 Final Thoughts

We know this process can feel like a slow climb — but your patience and unity give us the fuel to keep pressing forward. The truth is, we’re not here to settle for less. We’re here to build better — for you, for our colleagues, and for the communities we serve.

If you have questions or just want to connect, feel free to reach out to us anytime via email.

In strength, in solidarity,
